Moving The Classroom Beyond Four Walls

Kids Should Be Outside

The Education You Wish You Had

Connecting. Creating. Playing. Imagining. Exploring.

The Nature School is not your average school. Here, children can stop and smell the roses – literally. We’ve moved the classroom outside of four walls, enabling kids to learn through nature and connect with their environment; a natural habitat. Give your children the education you wish you had.

Returning To Nature

Americans went on 1 billion fewer outings in nature in 2018 compared with 2008. Today, 85 percent of adults say they spent more time outside when they were kids than children do today.

The Nature School Is Your Solution

We immerse our students in nature every day, providing an outdoor curriculum and experience most children would never receive. Our learning environment nurtures physical, mental, and emotional growth. It’s time to restore the balance of screen time & nature time.

Too Much Screentime

Technology is displacing the outdoors in our attention: A 2017 study noted that screen time is rising rapidly for all age groups and children’s outdoor play has declined substantially. Screen time is going up, and outdoor experiences are going down.

If you are falling away from nature, you are almost certainly lowering your well-being and increasing your unhappiness.

Ensuring Your Child’s Wellness Through Protective Measures

Hands-On Learning Beyond Four Walls

At The Nature School, your child does more than learn — they connect, create, play, imagine, and explore! With classrooms set amidst nature’s beautiful backdrops, children literally stop and smell the roses. It’s education beyond four walls, fostering a deeper connection with the environment and nurturing your child’s natural curiosity.

Whole-Child Development In The Great Outdoors

Our unique outdoor curriculum introduces your child to the wonders of the natural world, fostering physical, mental, and social-emotional growth. By prioritizing outdoor learning, we restore the balance between screen time and nature time, instilling lifelong learning and an appreciation for the world around them.

Can’t recommend La Fontaine or the Nature school enough. It has been life changing for my kids, which in return, has been life changing for me. The curriculum and being outdoors has been amazing for my son. The owners and staff truly care about their Vision and the families that attend La Fontaine schools. Cleanliness is a 10/10 also. Communication is also very strong here. They are entirely transparent and prompt in communications. You won’t regret sending your children here.

The best experience for our family! The teachers and staff are very kind and calm mannered with the kids. They are well trained qualified teachers and it shows, our only wish is Nature School lasted past PreK! Luckily, you have the option with LPS to stay with the La Fontaine schools through 5th grade, and that’s where our little one will be. Very impressed and can’t say enough great things about La Fontaine!

I can not describe the joy i get from pictures from my granddaughters school. It is a nature/farm school. She is in pre k. My moms family were farmers and her grandfathers family were farmers for many generations. To see her experience all the things she does at this unique school warms my heart. I am sure there are generations of family members smiling down at this sweet child as she experiences things that can only be experienced in this setting.

My daughter gained so much knowledge, wonderful memories, and hopefully life-long friendships during her experience at The Nature School. Her teachers have loved her every step of the way and we are so grateful for each of them. As we conclude our experience at The Nature School my tears are mostly happy tears, but truthfully, they’re a bit sad as I think about one this wonderful chapter of her life closing.

I cannot put into words how much this school means to us. Our son wakes up every morning excited to go to school. The empathy he’s developed toward others and his respect for wildlife and plant-life developed tremendously while at The Nature School. I was very worried that he might not be prepared for kindergarten but I don’t have that worry anymore after our experience at The Nature School.

After a few years of attending, I can say that this is a very professional and trustworthy organization. The owners care a lot about their service to our family and my children. No organization is without blemish but I can say that each time I’ve shared feedback that I’ve been heard. Sometimes directly with the owners. It’s clear that they want to offer a first-class service. As a result, our experience has been really good.
